Conductive Copper Tape

About This Item

Get rid of buzz and interference in your guitar.
Shield pickups and control cavities with this self-adhesive copper tape.

180" rolls for shielding pickups and control cavities to reduce hum, noise and radio interference. The self-adhesive backing is also conductive, so overlapped seams are electrically continuous. Wrap this tape around pickup coils for additional shielding.

Sold individually or SAVE when you buy the set of all three widths.

Conductive Copper Tape surface accepts solder.

Conductive both sides!

Yes, it's conductive both sides (I used my digital multimeter). and taping the sticky side of one piece to the non-sticky side of another piece shows perfect conductivity throughout, too! Excellent stuff!

The edges of the tape are extremely sharp and will slice your hands. Use with care.

1st time use

Just got this tape today. I'm not a guitar tech or a luthier and have NEVER attempted this before! I bought the 2" roll. Very easy to use. The key, as with most things, is to go slow and be meticulous. If you don't you'll end up wasting a lot of tape. I shielded my strat and my LP with plenty left over for at least 2 more guitars!! Cheers and good luck

Keep on Rolling

I don't get as much time to work on guitars as I'd like to. The last roll of 2" copper tape I got from StewMac was 25 years ago. Hopefully I'll use this new roll up faster! :)

This was an excellent choice

My Les Paul had a static buzz when I would move my hands over the body. I did a fair amount of online research, and found everyone who successfully solved this problem did so by shielding the cavities. It took me about 45 minutes total to remove the back plates and electronics, line both cavities, and put it back together. The guitar is now completely quiet--problem solved 100%. I don't know why they don't do this at the factory, because its a very easy fix to a big headache.

Great stuff right here!!

Super easy to use and for the price, you can't go wrong. I never fully shielded a guitar before so I did the control box on the back first. My guitar is a rear rout model so I had to be sure I did a neat job on the front. Once I got started the rest was easy and it looks excellent and my hum is gone!! 150% Recommend this Copper Tape!!
