Mighty Mite Neck for Tele Guitar

About This Item

Shaped, inlaid, fretted and finished—feels and plays great! Hard rock maple finished in clear satin polyurethane, with an inlaid "skunk stripe" down the back.

The frets are nicely finished, and the slotted nut is shaped from PPS plastic with a flat bottom. Maple or rosewood fretboard with dot inlays and side markers.

Screwholes for attaching to the body are not drilled. Each neck has a single-action truss rod with a 4mm adjusting nut at the peghead. We recommend Allen Truss Rod Wrench for adjusting neck relief.

Peghead is drilled for 6-in-line tuning machines. 10mm-diameter holes fit sealed gear tuners with threaded peghead bushing. See all tuners.

More specifications:
Scale length 25-1/2" (647.70mm)
Width at nut 1-11/16" (42.86mm)
Width at 21st fret 2-3/16" (55.56mm)
Fretboard radius 9-1/2" (241.30mm)
Fretwire .045" high x .095" wide (1.14mm x 2.41mm)
Fret count 21
Approximate heel length 3-5/8" (92.07mm)
String post spread 4-11/16" (119.06mm)

Neck thickness (approximate; not including fret)

Ideally, the neck should just drop into the neck-pocket, or be a little snug. Don't force the neck into the pocket. If the body is unfinished, remember that the finish will make the neck pocket smaller with lacquer build up on the edge of the rout. Be sure to compensate for the finish buildup or the neck will be too tight after finishing.

Maple Tele Neck

Bought a neck from China for $68 for a project tele, the truss rod didn't work. So off to Stew-Mac to save the project. Neck is great—not a MusicKraft, but a fraction of the price. Will be doing a quick leveling and recording, good to go.

Great necks! Only gripe is the frets on the T-style protrude and need dressing- 5 min. job though. Always fit perfect and look/function great!

Very nice neck

I purchased this for a Telecaster, after a previously purchased neck didn't float my boat. Very nice indeed, no problems what so ever...frets perfectly level, nut cut fine, great profile. Thanks!

Variable quality

These necks are pretty good, I've bought three of them. They vary in heel size, not much but enough to need shaving sometimes.Fret ends were all proud on last one, I figure it shrunk a little. Not bad for the price.

An excellent neck!

This neck was a great fit for my Partscaster. After drilling the screw holes, installing a set of classic Kluson threaded bushing tuners, attaching a single round string tree, and tweaking the truss rod ever so slightly, it plays like a champ. The frets were fairly smooth with no sharp ends, and the dot inlays and skunk stripe were flawlessly executed.

Neck Review

The neck is nicely finished and shaped and appears to be straight. I have not installed it yet because the fret ends are sticking way out. After I take care of this I will put on my guitar. I have another telecaster with a Mighty Mite neck and it has had no problems for about 5 years. I realize wood shrinkage is a problem, but this is more than I expected. I have no reason to think this will not be a very usable neck after a little work.

Very happy with this replacement neck. Fit and finish is great and easy to align. Ends of frets did need to be lightly filed smooth.
