I just got my route base. I had hoped to be able to use it to route out for small hinges on my jewelry boxes. WOW... it worked better than I had ever hoped it would. I am now thinking of several new uses for this. It is super easy to use. I made a template to match the hinges. Set the depth and routed.

Instructions are complete. 3 hours after I received this I had mounted my first hinge.. perfectly. This is a light duty but well made tool. A must for anyone that is doing any type of small woodworking. Uses unlimited.

The router base is nicely made and all, BUT it simply falls apart from the vibration while I'm using it. The thumbscrews for setting the height start moving about from the vibration and the screws on the bottom, that hold the bottom plate and the posts together also shake loose, which is even worse, because, as they start sticking out, they scratch the surface of the instrument.
Oh and the air pump (probably from a fish tank) is, of course, for 110 volts and not for European voltage, but I guess I should have thought of that myself.

Works very well easy to set depth.
Would like to see a bigger clear plastic base add on.

My son and I are building a Martin kit and we desperately needed a solution for routing out the binding channels.

I'm pretty good with a Dremel, but for this application, freehanding was not an option.

Enter the Precision Router Set. It's perfect for the application. The bindings on his build look excellent, now that they're installed. The only trouble spots were on the top corners of the rear of the body. I suspect it has something to do with the slight bow in the back. Still, the guide gave me a shallow, uniform cut that I could go back to and make a little deeper to accept the bindings properly.

The Precision Router Set is a fine instrument in and of itself.

This is a great tool to have for most dremel work. It is very well designed and made. Provides excellent control for precision hand tool work.

This was just what I needed for my inlay.

I found this router base to be well designed and easy to use.

I bought this tool knowing there were cheaper alternatives and after using it a couple of times I am very satisfied that I made this purchase! Its small enough to get all the fine detail that I want to accomplish when i am routing for inlay and nothing is in the way of my sight. Thanks STEWMAC!
