Use the larger bits for removing wood in the middle of your inlay work, and save the fine bits for the fine details. The fine detail bits are fragile, for routing intricate details only.

Sharp but stock up on them.

I use the 1/8 and 3/32 when I fill and reroute saddle slots. The carbide cuts clean and sharp on hard woods like Ebony and Rosewood. I can get around 5 perfect saddle slots out of a bit. On the 6th its goes dull and starts to smoke and rip the wood. I am positive on softer woods you will get much more use out of a bit. Four stars only because of the price.

Works Great!

They look expensive, but I tried them anyway and have been very pleased with years of service from them. They stay sharp and work exceptionally-well.

Downcut best for inlays

I have been using these cutters for years now, mainly for sound hole inlay work and it is difficult to imagine a better way of doing it. They last for ages but don't just order one as I have found if you have spares they will eventually wear out, if you don't, you'll break one! Highly recommended.

Downcut carbide router bit.

Exceptional product for use when routing spruce and cedar; cuts are very smooth and clean and I've yet to experience any tear out.

Clean and sharp

Exactly the bit you need. I have two of these and use them in ebony all the time. Very clean cuts and keeps a sharp edge.

Worth it

Building my first guitar, I hesitated on the price, then bought just two sizes. They cut so fast and cleanly they are worth every penny.
