After talking to several experts, I thought I was going to have to make a nut to raise the stings on my guitar. Luckily, I ran across a website that directed me to StewMac's nifty nickel-plated nut booster. It works great on my cheapo Fender acoustic. I'm going to order another for an old Silvertone electric I have laying around.
The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because when I started stringing up the guitar it moved around a bit until I got enough tension to hold it into place, after that, it stayed in place just fine. Great product for someone just starting their adventures in steel guitar! It also saved me a lot of money!
I purchased an extension nut for my friend. I personally play simple electric, acoustic and classical guitars. I was especially impressed with easiness of payment by PayPal and speed of delivery. Regardless of Christmas time it came through to me within 2 weeks from the date of dispatch all the way to deep continental Russia. Communication with the store was very clear and easy too. Also the cost of items offered here is friendly, exciting me about the opportunities to shop more here. And I will soon be back for more items.
Many thanks and kind regards.
I bought several of these. 1 for my friend who is awesome on slide and wanted to raise the strings on a Regal Resonator. I put 1 on a an electric Gretsch Pro Jet, and slid one on a Fender Tele-Coustic. These are fun.
