I got rid of the tradition Kluson-style when I changed the neck because the holes are drilled too large. I later found out you can use a different bushing to compensate--oh well. I like these better. They look traditional, but work like modern tuners, and seem really smooth. I'm giving them 4 instead of 5 stars because I just installed them. They may be 5 star tuners.

I have a mandolin that I was having problems finding the right tuners for.
I bought the Gotoh 1951's in black. I could order them as singles, so I got 4 for each side. They really look good on the light colored head stock, and they are really smooth tuning. No going back and forth to get in tune.

I purchased these tuners to replace the stock tuners on an Affinity Telecaster. I knocked it over a while back and broke two of the stock tuners. These tuners slid right into place with no problems, and, the work very well. They hold tune so much better then the originals it is not even funny. If you need replacements for the Chinese made Fenders, I highly recommend these tuners. Actually, they would make a very good replacement for almost any guitar.

Always wanted a tele but finding an inexpensive one that is left handed is a problem. Purchased a LH Stagg Tele. A good guitar but needed some upgrading. Got the 1951-RB Black, individual right-side tuners to replace the cheap Pings. Very smooth, and even with no string, the post were tight with no wobble. A very high quality product that did nothing but enhance this guitar.

Absolutely solid. Higher gear ratio at a lower price. Can't beat these for value; my first choice for mid-priced instrument builds and repairs.

Great machines for a great price. Recently had to return some mini-Schallers, quality on those has dropped a lot.

I got 2 of these to go with my 4+2 head on my compact travel guitar. They match the Schallers from the front and they work so well, I might have to get 4 for the other side to match.
