Extra slippery: TUSQ XL® is impregnated with Teflon® (500% more slippery than graphite). During tremolo bends, the strings slide in the slots, returning to accurate pitch.
Dense and resonant: Pressure-formed TUSQ transfers string energy more efficiently, without dead spots found in natural materials. Guitars come alive with enhanced harmonics, volume and sustain.
Pre-shaped: Slotted or unslotted, they require only minor trimming.

love these nuts

the strings slide through the slots with no resistance. i do a lot of string bending and this nut really helps keep me in tune. very easy to work with too(filing and shaping).

Awesome! Breeze to install!

I originaly went with a bone nut for my strat and eventually messed it up. So I watched a couple videos and decided to go with these TUSQ nut. Needless to say, after 45 min. it was installed and ready to play! The color even matches the cream and shoreline gold! I'll more than likely use these from now on.

Great product. Wish it came slotted for bass too.

I like Tusq. It's my favorite nut material on basses when brass is not preferred. I get the 44.45mm unslotted ones. To slot it and shape it is a cinch. I wish Stewmac carried also the pre slotted ones for 4 and 5 strings bass though. One can never be lazy enough ;)

Almost Effortless

I've used these on three guitars now, a LP Studio and two Teles,I'm loathe to use anything else now unless it is for a vintage, period correct material instrument. Only require minor sanding for perfect action and installation. The tone is at least equal, and IMO better than bone.

Great product

I ordered about 3 of these in the past year or so and every one of them was a perfect fit both in the depth of the string slots and the width of the nut itself.

Nut working great

Have never replaced a nut on my own
before.In the past have used luthiers.
This was a garage sale FEND/SQUIER strat a friend gave me..Sanded this Tusq nut down a bit so it would fit..I basically eye-balled it against another strat or tele for height..sanded a bit..checked fit and
repeated a few times to get a snug fit...also took some overlap off the ends... I have noticed this Tusq-teflon nut really does work as far preventing string binding at the nut..Plan on buying more...very pleased.

I like the sound and workability of Tusq products second only to bone which I provide only by request otherwise it's Tusq all the way.

Accurate but Crude Finish

Slots were correctly placed and shaped but the finish was very rough. Not of the quality that I require for my instruments.
