The distinctive "zipper" pattern wood marquetry strip, as used on the back center seam of styles 28 and 21 Martin guitars before World War II. This handsome backstrip is laminated with black fibre and natural unstained "white" wood.

1/4" x 1/8" x 23" (6.35mm x 3.18mm x 584mm)

Beautiful touch to your backs

I love these zipper strips and put them on all my guitars. Miter in the zipper's outer WB with a 0.040" WB purfling for really good look. (pic is mitered zipper in Madagascan RW dread)

Nice Backstrip

Order was delivered very quickly and everything was there. I ordered 2 backstrips. I routed a groove to install the strip. This one fit perfectly into a 1/4 groove. Then I planed it down level. It planed beautifully in long ribbons. Very pleased with my purchases from Stewmac.

Works OK

Usually comes broken in the box. Could use some more care in packaging. Other than that, it is very serviceable and uniform color and pattern throughout even after sanding.
