This is an undrilled oversize 3-ply maple blank. It must be lathe-turned to fit the 11" (279.40mm) diameter tone ring of your choice, and to fit a one-piece resonator flange or bracket shoes. This is a high quality rim for bluegrass, jazz or old-time banjos.
Note: We don't offer custom lathe-turning services. For accuracy when turning a rim, use a dial caliper to take dimensions directly from the tone ring and resonator flange.
Easy finishing options ColorTone Aerosol Guitar Lacquer is an economical way for the beginner to apply a finish without elaborate setup or equipment. Only a few cans are needed to completely finish a rim. Or try brush-on application with Target Waterbase Brushing Varnish.
