My son is a player whose sweat is so acidic that the hardware on his guitars corrodes. I got the stainless steel Fender pickguard screws and problem solved.
Makes me wonder why we don't see more stainless bridge parts...
As someone who has looked at A LOT of screws over the last three months, take my word for it - there IS a difference. These are quality screws. Local hardware stores usually only have flat or round heads (and rarely come in small enough sizes), and you can see a huge difference if you try to use those instead of the typical oval headed screws seen on most guitars. Only advice I would give is use the right size screw-drivers for these - can make a big difference on how easily the heads get damaged.
Nice, tarnish-resistance and not too shiny - and the heads are just the right size. Screws are a small detail, but small details add up to enhance the whole instrument.
Not a bad little screw in itself. I ordered the chrome and they work great.
The screws were the perfect replacement part...everything I've purchased from StewMac has been top quality.
I know screws are screws but to get the right size and right color in a timely manner at a decent price...Stewmac you were great as always thanks!
well, duh, they're screws...
Great vintage style screws, used them on a strat project and they look great.
Just what I wanted to match the black pickguard.
Excellent service, good quality and on time.
